Amanda Gayle passed away unexpectedly March 21st, 2024 at the age of 39. We can answer questions privately, but know she became very sick, very quickly, due to an infection that overpowered all medical intervention. The grief we feel is beyond measure. The coming days are going to be filled with tears and heart ache. Per Amanda's request, a private family memorial will be held at a future time.

Jack moved to Georgia 30yrs ago with his husband and love of his life Al. Jack loved his Church family very much, The Episcopal Church of the Holy Family, where he was a Verger. Thomas Fuller Choyce, aged 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in Jasper, Georgia, while he was at home in hospice care surrounded by his family. Tom was born on June 26, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, to Edgar L. and Alice Dayment Choyce. Later, his family moved to Decatur, Georgia, where Tom attended Decatur Boys High School, the University of Georgia, and Emory Law School.
Ms. Andrea Anne Weiss, age 75, of Pittsfield Massachusetts, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Andrea was born February 24, 1949, the daughter of the late Robert and Florence Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Hill, his daughter Leslie Kaylor and her husband Charles Kaylor, two grandchildren: Elizabeth and Ben Kaylor, three sisters: Kathy Kincaid, Connie Prather, and Deborah Hampton, three brothers: Tommy Hill, Shane Hill, and Chris Johnson, and several nieces and nephews. Wayne is preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Johnson, and his father, RL Hill. Wayne was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He loved old movies, music, and history. W. L. Wilson, passed away on December 24, 2023 at his home in Jasper, Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Wilson and his mother, Ada Wilson. Mr. Wilson is also preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Bertie Cantrell, Cleo Garrison, Jack Wilson, Joye Wilson, Herbert Wilson, Betty Sue Parton and Lois Cantrell. Mr. Wilson has one surviving sister, Pauline Hightower, along with nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are: Jeremy Wilson, Clayton Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Blake Wilson, Trenton Wilson and Roger Mulkey. Virginia Noguere, 102, a resident of Clearwater, Florida, for 53 years, died on November 24, 2023, in Big Canoe, Georgia. Born in Brooklyn in 1921 to John and Nellie Thompson Braun, she graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School at 15 and went to work as a secretary to help support her family.

Brenda Anlauf, 79, transitioned from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on November 23, 2023. She lived most of her final years in Jasper, GA, until dementia forced a change of residence to The Canton Nursing and Rehab Center. There, she was lovingly cared for until the end. Brenda was born in Mohegan, WV. She later lived in Bluefield, VA where she graduated from Graham High School. She was the second of six children, three brothers and two sisters; Ron Francis, Sandra Day, Cheryl Goodwin, Bill Francis, and David Francis.

To my loving Husband, Kevin (KC)We met five years ago, and little did we know what these five years together would mean for the both of us. Pure Unconditional Love. You told me, “You finally got to experience what real love is”. You also told me, “You wish you had met me 25 years ago”. You always called me your “trophy wife” and that I was an upgrade to what you had. The laughter, the pranks, the jokes, and all of the fun times we shared will never be forgotten. What we shared together was so magical, it was as if we knew life would end as we know it and sadly it did come to an end.

DONALD GLENN BAILEY, 71 of Bent Tree, Jasper, Georgia passed away on October 24, 2023 at his home in Pickens County.Don was born in Atlanta, Georgia at Crawford Long Hospital on June 27, 1952 to Edna Willoughby Banks and Wesley Marvin Bailey, Sr. Don attended Towers High School and graduated 1970. Don worked for Georgia Power for 43 years as a drafter and then as a GIS Technician. Don enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends with the North Georgia Mountain Riders and Killer Creek Harley Clubs. While being a member of these groups Don was involved in The Buck Jones Toy Run Charity Ride and he supported The Boys Home in Cumming, Georgia. Don was also very supportive of Breast Cancer Awareness and raised money by participating in motorcycle rides for that benefitted that cause.

My beautiful Mother, Jean Lanell Long, age 89, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023 (The same day my brother died in 1983). She was surrounded by love as Richard, son-in-law, and Deborah, daughter and 10th child, both held her hands and watched as she took her last breath. She lived a wonderful long life and it was her time to go. Just like her entire life, she “Did it my way!” (Frank Sinatra was one of her favorites). We were so incredibly blessed to be her caregivers for the past 3 ½ years and poured all our love into her. She was spoiled (heated plates and all) and treated like a Queen! When she woke up that last morning, she couldn’t get out of her chair, and she knew it was her time. Not too many people get to live such a long, beautiful life, she was just two months shy of her 90th birthday. She even got the opportunity to call each of her surviving children to tell them one last time “I LOVE YOU!” And she reached out to her closest friends to personally THANK THEM for making her journey so special.

Thomas Lewis Wentworth born on May 31st 1951 in New Haven, Connecticut, passed away Thursday, October 19th 2023 in Jasper, GA. He was the son of David Wentworth and Eveleen Wentworth, grandfather of Noah Huber, who preceded him in death. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife for 39 years Rosana C Wentworth and daughter Milagros R. E. Wentworth, 10 nieces and nephews, sister and brothers in law, and numerous cousins and friends. He had an amazing creative and artistic personality. His talents, and love will leave an indeniable mark on the hearts of all who knew him. He not only made many great contributions in life, but left an impression that was uniquely his own. A mass service will be held at 1 pm, on October 25th 2023 at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church with Fr. Tri Nguyen officiating. Vernon was born at home in Pickens County on May 22, 1938, the son of the late Ervin and Clara Mae Carver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Gwen Ware Carver, March 31, 2023; two sisters, Eula Parker and Edith Carver; five brothers, Walter, Preston, Don, and Truman Carver.

Michael R. Upton of Cedartown GA passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. Michael was born on September 16, 1948, in Salinas, CA to Herbert (Mack) and Marvelene Upton. He grew up in Vidalia, GA with his brother Christopher Upton and cousin William Morris. In his youth, he worked at Jack’s Drive-in in Vidalia GA and because of his love for music, he also worked at the local radio station, WVOP.
Anna dedicated her life to raising her seven children. One of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo and playing with her dog Mooney.I always told my mom she was my angel here on Earth, now she is my guardian angel.

His only son Clay Dalton was born in Cartersville Georgia and grew up in the Douglasville Georgia area and now resides with his wife Glenda in Canton, Ga.
