Andrew James Dodds III, affectionately known as Andy, was born on September 29, 1957, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After many years of dreaming, he bought Advanced Pest Control, where he made lasting impressions on his clients through his hard work. A proud Navy veteran, Andy’s service to his country was just one of the many ways he exhibited his commitment and dedication throughout his life.

Andy leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of his son, Drew Dodds, and his husband, Briar; his daughter, Meagan Rowland, and her husband, Justin; and his brother Chuck Dodds and his wife, Liz. His playful sense of humor will be missed dearly, but his loving spirit will continue to resonate in the memories of those who knew him best.

Andy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lynne Dodds, who was undoubtedly a shining light in his life, as well as his brother, Johnathan Dodds, and his mother, Jean Dodds. Their love and support helped shape the extraordinary man he became.

Andy was a man of varied interests and passions. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time playing Civilization and other games, problem solving to relax at the end of a day. When he wasn’t engrossed in reading or gaming, you could find him swimming every morning as it was the "best form of exercise." Known for his warm spirit, Andy loved making jokes and and you couldn't find him without his cup of coffee.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Andy will gather to celebrate his wonderful life at an event to be planned for the future, honoring the joy and laughter he brought into their lives. Andy Dodds will be remembered not just for his achievements and skills, but for the humor and love he so generously shared. He will be deeply missed.
