Marietta, GA- Barry Kincaid Henson, 72, went home to be with his savior on Friday morning, July 18, 2025.
Barry was born April 9, 1953 to Ed and Mary Henson in Wynne, Arkansas. Barry attended Wynne Baptist Church and made a profession of faith and was baptized at the age of 9. He was a 1971 graduate of Wynne High School. Barry graduated from Arkansas State University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio and TV. On January 28, 1984 he was united in marriage to Angela Hollingsworth.
Barry worked in the Memphis area for many years in Commercial Real Estate. While living in Memphis, his many hobbies were going to St. Louis Cardinal baseball games, fishing, and ANYTHING to do with old school rock and roll music. Barry’s main passion was anything to do with Arkansas State University Athletics and watching his son Brandon play football at ASU from 2004-2006.
In 1999, Barry moved to Marietta, Georgia and teamed up with Don Goodman at Equitable Management. Barry worked here almost 20 years in the commercial real estate industry. When Barry wasn’t making deals with Don, he would spend his weekends going to civil war reenactments and talking World History with anyone who would listen. His favorite time of the year was the fall, because Barry would watch college football all day and then call you at midnight to replay all the games he had watched that day. As Barry grew older, he became an expert in politics. He would talk politics to ANYONE and EVERYONE who would take in conversation. Ultimately, it didn’t matter who you voted for, he wanted to hear your side. Ultimately, Barry loved people and talking to all kinds of people was his life skill. No matter where you were from or your background, Barry wanted to hear about your life.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Henson of Lake Worth, Florida; sister, Marla and late husband Lee Fergus of Jonesboro; sister, Lori and husband Roni of Jonesboro, Arkansas; brother, Brian and wife Karen of Marion, Arkansas; niece, Natalie and husband James Wray of Jonesboro; niece, Abby and husband Trevor Grubb of Jonesboro; niece, Caroline George of Little Rock; niece, Jordan and husband Justin Todd of Colorado Springs; Brianne and husband Koy Garmrath of Paragould; niece, Leah Henson of Jonesboro; niece, Jensie and husband Seth Cobb of Cave Springs and niece, Callie and her husband Matt Brewer of Bentonville.
