Betty Sue Stone, a beacon of love and warmth, departed from this world on October 20, 2025, in her beloved Acworth, Georgia. Born in Cartersville on January 20, 1951, she was raised in Acworth, where she cultivated her deep affection for family, instilling in her children the values that would carry them through life.
As a mother, Betty embodied nurturing and compassion. She dedicated herself to her children's well-being, always providing a loving home filled with laughter, guidance, and endless encouragement. Her nurturing spirit extended well beyond her own children, wrapping her family in a cocoon of security and love that would last a lifetime.
Betty's passions ran the gamut from enjoying her cherished pastime of watching television to diving into crossword puzzles that challenged her mind and brought her joy. Dining out, perhaps in the spirited company of her family, was another delight she treasured. But it was in the moments spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that she found her truest contentment. Family was not just important to her; it was her everything.
She leaves behind her loving children: Michael Stone (Connie), Randy Stone (Darlene), and Traci Stone as well as her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Stone. Her devotion blossomed in her role as a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and an adoring great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren. Her sister, Diane Gravitt, remains with many fond memories that echo Betty’s spirit, alongside several nieces whose lives she touched with kindness and wisdom.
Her presence will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her—yet her legacy will continue to thrive in the lives of those she raised. Now reunited with her beloved husband, Donald Stone, and her son, William Keith Stone, Betty’s essence lingers on in the hearts of all she left behind.
The world has lost a wonderful soul, but her spirit lives on in every loving memory shared. A visitation with family will be held at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, Georgia, on November 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of In Their Honor Funeral & Cremation Providers, located in Fairmount, Georgia. As we gather to celebrate her life, we remember not just the loss, but the love that she gave so freely, a flame that will forever light the path for those she cherished.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to Lung Cancer Research Foundation in memory of Betty Stone.
