Bobby D. Patterson Jr., lovingly known as Bob, was born on January 23, 1955, in Stark County, Ohio. He passed away peacefully in his home on September 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, love, and creativity that touched the hearts of many.

Bob was a devoted family man, deeply cherishing his wife, Regina Kay Dodson Patterson, who affectionately dubbed him "Bob, Boss of the Bass" due to his exceptional talent playing the bass guitar in a band. Music was one of Bob's first loves, an art form through which he expressed his heart and soul. He delighted in playing for friends and family, each note echoing his deep-seated love for those around him.

A man of many talents, Bob's passion extended beyond music. He took immense pride in constructing a camper from scratch, which became the backdrop for cherished family camping trips, moments filled with laughter and love. His hands were never idle; he turned his love for woodworking into craft, creating beautiful windmills that he later sold, each piece a testament to his skill and dedication.

Bob’s fascination with helicopters led him to build a model of the Boeing CH-47 Chinook, a feat that showcased not only his ingenuity but also his thirst for knowledge and passion for aviation. These accomplishments reflected his crafty and thoughtful spirit, showcasing a life dedicated to pursuing passions and nurturing creativity.

Bob's infectious warmth will be sorely missed by his family, who he adored wholeheartedly. He shared a special bond with his daughter, Angela Williams, and her husband, Kevin, as well as with his beloved grandchildren: Bryan Dupree, Kassidy Williams, Kaitlyn Williams, and Kylie Williams. His heart was full of joy at the anticipation of welcoming his great-grand identical twin baby girls into the world, a new chapter he looked forward to embracing with open arms.

Bob’s circle of love also included his Mother, Barbara Grimes Patterson, his sisters, DeEtta Grimes, Shannon Fazio, and Deanna Patterson, who will hold his memory close to their hearts. His beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Lexi, always by his side, embodied the love and companionship that characterized Bob's life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby D. Patterson Sr., his brother, Jerry Clifton Patterson, sister, Patricia Patterson, and his cherished dog, Bayley. The love they shared will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew them.

Bob's kind and loving nature, along with his thoughtful whispers of creativity, will echo in the memories of his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire laughter, music, and love for generations to come. Rest in peace, dear Bob; you will be missed more than words can express.

A very special thank you to Bob's brother in law, Thomas Dodson (Regina's Sweet Brother), who has been a rock for Regina and helped care for Bob this past year. Thomas, you are an Angel!

A celebration of life will be planned soon.
