Carol Peardon

Carol Peardon, a devoted instructor for special needs at the Cherokee Training Center for 33 years, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, in Ball Ground, Georgia. Born on May 28, 1949, in Atlanta, Georgia, Carol dedicated her life to enriching the lives of others through her compassionate work and vibrant spirit.

Throughout her career, Carol was known not just for her dedication, but for the infectious smile and laughter that could lighten any room. Her joyful demeanor endeared her to countless students and colleagues, and she brightened their days with her playful habit of saying “Bye! Love you!” over 100 times before leaving—a testament to her warm-hearted nature.

Carol enjoyed simple pleasures, finding joy in fishing on the bank and indulging in her love for Goodwill shopping. These pastimes brought her happiness and were shared as cherished moments with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Brannon (Stevie), her step-grandchildren, Ashton Huffman (Joey) and Little Stevie Brannon (Rachel), and her great-grandchildren, Emerson Huffman and Emmitt Huffman. Also holding her fondly in their hearts are her sister, Faye Lively (Tony Lee), her brothers, Ricky Mason and Dennis Mason (Betty), her sister-in-law, Sonja Mason, her precious Aunt Hazel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carol also leaves behind three beloved fur babies, Roxie, Ace, and Gypsy, who will miss her comforting presence.

The legacy of Carol Peardon will live on in the lives she touched and the love she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Grace Community Church located at 7770 Hickory Flat Highway, Woodstock, GA 30188.
