Carolyn Jean Collins, a beloved homemaker and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully at her home on January 21, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on December 25, 1950, in Gainesville, Georgia, Carolyn embodied grace and warmth throughout her life, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.
A devoted Christian, Carolyn was known for her unwavering faith and her passion for sharing the message of Jesus Christ. Her compassion shone brightly as she engaged with everyone she encountered, particularly those at the cancer center, where she offered words of hope and encouragement. Carolyn's heart was as vibrant as the flower garden she lovingly tended, a sanctuary where she found solace and joy. She devoted countless hours to nurturing her plants, reflecting her nurturing spirit and her belief in the beauty of life.
Family was at the center of Carolyn's world. She adored her husband, Larry Collins, and stood as a pillar of strength and support to him throughout their years together. As a mother, she nurtured her daughters, Cindy Hargreave and Niki Collins, with boundless love and wisdom, guiding them through life's complexities. Her four grandchildren—Whitney Owen, Ashley May, Ansley Hargreave, and Kyle Litton—and five great-grandchildren—Lillie Raines, Kaylynn May, Aliyah May, Tucker Owen, and Lincoln May—were the lights of her life, and she cherished every moment spent playing and creating joyful memories with them.
Carolyn had a unique way of making conversations a delightful experience, as she loved to talk and connect with others. Her playful spirit and infectious laughter became a hallmark of her personality, drawing people into her warmth and leaving them uplifted. In addition to her immediate family, Carolyn is survived by her dear sister, Linda Cranford (Hubert), and her brother, Ronald Elliott (Diane), both of whom shared in her journey of life.
She is predeceased by her father, Homer Lee Elliott, her mother, Racheal Ella Marie Elliott, her sister, Joann Taylor, and her brother, Roger Lee Elliott. Their memories will forever be cherished as part of the tapestry of Carolyn's rich life.
A burial service to honor Carolyn's memory will be held on January 29, 2026, at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, where family and friends will gather to celebrate a life well-lived and a love that knows no bounds. Carolyn Jean Collins leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, unwavering faith, and cherished memories that will endure in the hearts of all who were touched by her beautiful spirit.
