Clarence Mann, born January 17, 1941, passed away on August 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy that will be carried forward by his devoted family and by the countless lives he touched with his warmth, integrity, and laughter. Clarence’s journey spanned 85 remarkable years, each marked by deep connections, hard work, and the passions that made him uniquely himself.

Clarence was the beloved husband of the late Sheron (Bonnie), and together they built a home filled with love, perseverance, and enduring family ties. He was also preceded in death by his cherished daughter Cherrelyn, and by his parents, Herbert and Jewel. Their memories were treasured by Clarence and remain forever a part of the family fabric.

Left to celebrate Clarence’s life and carry his memory forward are his daughters Michelle Mann-Thomas (Wayne) and Nicki Tipton, and his son Vic Mann (Donna). His family further extends to his adored grandchildren: Brittany (Josh), Devy (Dalton), Janna, Brooke, Layla, Hunter, David, Cody(Sierra), and Brianna. The next generation of his legacy flourishes in his great-grandchildren: Peyton, Malea, Rickie, Oliver, Adalina, Daniel, Vivienne, Walker, Vianna, Jace, and great-great granddaughter, Layklyn. Brother in law, Jimmy McClain (Margaret) and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Professionally, Clarence carved a notable path. He began his career in pest control, dedicating many years to the craft before founding Mann Termite and Pest Control in 1986. The company, which stands today as a family owned and operated business, speaks to Clarence’s industrious spirit and his desire to create something enduring for those he loved. A lifelong resident of Clayton County, Clarence also served his community as a city councilman for the City of Jonesboro from early 2006 through mid-2012, demonstrating his dedication to making a difference in the place he called home.

To those who knew him well, Clarence will be remembered as a man whose interests brought people together. He was a huge football and Nascar fan; some of his happiest days were spent watching games and races with his son-in-law Wayne and grandson-in-law Josh. Clarence’s passion for music was infectious—he was an avid record collector with an encyclopedic knowledge of artists and genres, always eager to share his discoveries and memories with friends and family alike.

Clarence’s story is one of steadfast love, commitment to community, and the joys found in simple pleasures—a soulful melody, a thrilling game, laughter shared with loved ones. His legacy endures in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and in the family business he worked so hard to build.

As those closest to him gather to say farewell, Clarence’s life will be honored not just in solemn remembrance, but in the laughter, stories, and music that he so dearly loved. His presence will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will live on in the hearts of all he loved.

The Celebration of Life, honoring Clarence will be held on Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 at In Their Honor Funeral Home and Cremation Providers located at 2764 US-411 S.E, Fairmount, GA 30139.
