She found joy in the open air and bright sunshine, loving nothing more than being outside and sunbathing on the bow of a boat.

Constance Jeanette Patterson, better known as Connie, a resident of Summerville, Georgia, passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 60.

Connie moved through life with a love for the people gathered around her. She spent most of her working life as a waittress but has been a retired homemaker for some time. Outside of work, she found joy in the open air and bright sunshine, loving nothing more than being outside and sunbathing on the bow of a boat. She was also an avid reader, especially drawn to dramatic and romantic books, and she was perhaps most at home when telling stories around a campfire.

At the heart of Connie’s life was her family. She is survived by her husband, John Patterson, her partner of 41 years, whose long marriage with her speaks to a life deeply shared. She is also survived by her son, Joseph Patterson. Her love continued into the next generation through her grandchildren, Taylor Patterson, Dylon Patterson, Waylon Crane, and Skyler Crane, each of whom carries forward a part of her memory and presence.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joette Stewart, and by her son, John Patterson.

A private service for family and friends will be Saturday September 26th at 11am at Carters Lake/Doll Mountain.

Connie will always be remembered for a warm sense of humor, motherly love to everyone around her and keeping the campfire warm.
