Dale Win Staples, affectionately known as "Dot," passed away on January 25, 2026, in Carrollton, Georgia, at the age of 86. Born on March 7, 1939, in Midland, Texas, Dale led a life characterized by his unwavering commitment to his family, his career, and his community.
Dale was a proud Eagle Scout, and he continued to demonstrate leadership and service throughout his life, notably during his time in the Marine Corp. His dedication and discipline honed in the military served him well as he transitioned into the business world. As a successful businessman, Dale founded the Optronics Specialty Company in California, where he specialized in developing circuitry for aircraft and other vehicles. His innovative spirit and entrepreneurial drive created a lasting impact in his field.
Education was an important aspect of Dale’s life, particularly his time at Texas A&M University. He embraced learning and applied his knowledge to advance his career. Dale was well known for his great sense of humor and his penchant for sharing bad jokes which brought laughter to those around him.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dale held deep love for his family. He devoted 32 years of endearing marriage and is now reunited with his beloved late wife, Donna (Beard) Staples. Dale is survived by his sons, Matthew Staples and his girlfriend Keri Shaw, and Andrew Staples. He cherished moments spent with his family and found joy in the companionship of his dogs, Henry, Fred, Lucy, and Sam. Dale enjoyed sharing leisure time at the beach and playing card games, creating unforgettable memories with his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, Win Staples, and his mother, Viola (Schultz) Staples.
Dale's legacy is one of humor, dedication, and love, both for his family and for his work. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
