David Carlton Tomer, 68, passed away on September 12, 2026.

Born on June 2, 1958, David lived a life marked by steady work, simple joys, and the love of adventure. He attended Gloucester High School in Gloucester, Massachusetts, a place that was part of his early years and helped shape the man he became. He went on to work as a truck driver, a career that reflected his dedication, perseverance, and willingness to put in long hours.

Outside of work, David found happiness in the everyday things that brought comfort and creativity to his life. He enjoyed photography, watching movies, and coloring. These interests offered moments of reflection, enjoyment, and expression, and they will be remembered as part of what made him uniquely himself.

Above all, David will be remembered by those who knew and loved him best. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Tomer; his son, Daniel Tomer; his sister, Diana Purser; and his brother William Tomer. May they carry forward the memories of his life, his presence, and the lasting bond they shared with him.

David was preceded in death by his father, Robert Tomer; his mother, Nadine Gerdau Tomer; and his wife, Janine Tomer.
