IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dawn Skhi Graves
Pace
August 6, 1981 – February 6, 2026
Dawn Skhi Graves Pace, a cherished daughter, beloved wife, and devoted aunt, passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 44. Born on August 6, 1981, Dawn's life was a tapestry woven with creativity, joy, and an unwavering love for her family.
Dawn was deeply passionate about education, holding a Master’s degree in child psychology. Her career as a teacher was not just a job; it was a calling that allowed her to nurture and inspire her students, who were truly special to her. With a camera in one hand and a paintbrush in the other, she found beauty in the world around her and expressed it through her artistic endeavors.
Family meant everything to Dawn. She was the beloved daughter of Naomi Graves and Bobbie Graves, both of Jackson, MS. Her heart overflowed with love for her husband, Farley Jenkins, of Madleton, GA, and she shared an inseparable bond with her brothers—Aaron Graves and his wife Tonya of Carriere, MS, Michael Rhorbecker of Hancock County, MS, and Charles Miller of GA. Each of her brothers brought a unique facet of joy into her life, especially Aaron, who was particularly close to her heart.
Dawn took immense pride in her role as an aunt. Caitlin, Alexis, and Elyssa, Kayde her four nieces, as well as her nephews, Michael, Jacob, and Aaron, all from Carriere, MS, thrived under her guidance and affection. She was more than just an aunt; she was a confidante, mentor, and friend, always ready to share wisdom and laughter.
Her extended family also included Cousin John Jenkins of Jackson, three aunts—Michelle Jones of Bogalusa, LA, Gloria Smith of McComb, MS, and Carolyn Jenkins of Bogalusa, LA—and her uncle William Freeman also of Bogalusa, LA. Each relationship was a treasured bond that enriched her life and brought warmth to her heart.
Dawn will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind memories that will be etched in their souls, a testament to a life lived fully, positively, and beautifully.
Care of Dawn has been entrusted to In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers.
