Edna Rae Lynch, born on July 4, 1958, in the quiet town of South Hill, Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026. Though her life journey began in Virginia, Edna found her true home in Georgia, where she spent the majority of her years.

Edna loved watching daytime television, especially soap operas and wrestling. She had a passion for cooking and found joy in writing letters and creating homemade cards for those she loved. Her love for her family was deep and unwavering, and she remained sharp-minded throughout her life.

She is survived by her son, William D. Knowlton; her grandson, Xander Knowlton; her brother, David “Luke” Lynch; six nieces and two nephews; many extended family members and dear friends; and her best friend and companion, Brian Harron.

Edna was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Katherine Lynch; her father, Clarence William Lynch; and her two brothers, William Thomas Lynch and Robert Earl Lynch.

In accordance with Edna’s final wishes, a direct cremation was conducted, and no public services will be held. Though there may be no formal gathering, those who knew and loved her will continue to carry her presence—a quiet, profound echo in their hearts.

In loving memory of Edna Rae Lynch, we celebrate a life that quietly yet deeply touched so many. Her gentle spirit and unwavering love leave a lasting imprint on all who knew her. She will be forever cherished and never forgotten.
