Faye Mason
Lively
Aug 29, 1959 — May 8, 2026
Faye Mason Lively, a beloved "Mother", "Granny", and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at home on May 8, 2026. Born on August 29, 1959, in Duluth, Georgia, Faye was a vibrant soul whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.
Faye attended Alpharetta High School, she embraced life with a spirit full of love and grace. She had a special fondness for her highland cows, a deep affection that reflected her nurturing heart and loved her yard decor. Her joy extended to her "grandbabies", who were the light of her life and who she adored beyond measure. One of her most treasured memories was the many trips she took to the Smokey Mountains with Tony, Melanie and friends, journeys filled with laughter and the creation of lasting bonds — they went often, making those adventures a significant part of her life’s story.
She enjoyed going to thrift stores and shopping, always finding joy and treasure in every store she went in. She also loved having her nails done each month, proudly showing off her newest colors and designs on Facebook — her “cute lil chubby hands,” as her family lovingly called them, became something everyone looked forward to seeing. Their three dogs, Jaxon, Peanut, and Chipper, were her beloved “precious” furbabies and constant companions, bringing endless warmth and comfort to her days snoozing on the couch together. She cherished watching birds and squirrels at her feeders, a quiet pleasure that she enjoyed from the living room. Her Dodge Charger was another source of pride and enjoyment, a symbol of her spirited Granny Faye nature.
Her family was her greatest blessing. She truly loved her whole family! She is survived by her devoted "daughter", Melanie Kent, and Greg. Her brothers, Dennis Mason and his wife Betty, and Ricky Mason, along with her sister in law Sonya Mason, they remain strong pillars in her life’s legacy. Faye’s "grandsons", Zach Kent and Samantha, Austin Kent and Jessica, and Keaton Kent and Ashley, along with her cherished grandbabies— Roper, Reagan, Walker, Ripley, and Landon—carry her spirit forward with love. Granny Faye was certainly loved by her lil ones! Also by her side in life was "her man" as she called him, aka boyfriend Tony Lee and his daughter Robin Lee, whose affection brought her comfort and joy for 14 years. Also left behind is her Aunt Hazel whom she loved deeply, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and quite a few cousins as well that she leaves behind.
Faye is lovingly remembered but preceded in death by a brother Doug Mason, sisters Carol Peardon and Dianne Mabrey, father Everette Mason, mother Claudine Barnette Mason, and her late husband Jimmy Lively, whose memories she held close to her heart.
Visitation will be held on May 11 and May 12, 2026, at In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers Fairmount in Fairmount, Georgia. On May 12, her funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Ebenezer Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia, at 1:00 p.m. Family, friends, and all who knew her are invited to join in honoring Faye’s life and legacy.
