Faye Mason Lively, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at home on May 8, 2026. Born on August 29, 1959, in Duluth, Georgia, Faye was a vibrant soul whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.
A proud graduate of Alpharetta High School, Faye embraced life with a spirit full of love and grace. She had a special fondness for her cows, a deep affection that reflected her nurturing heart and connection to nature. Her joy extended to her "grandbabies," who were the light of her life and who she adored beyond measure. One of her most treasured memories was the many trips she took to the Smokey Mountains with her daughter Melanie, journeys filled with laughter and the creation of lasting bonds — they went often, making those adventures a significant part of her life’s story.
Faye’s passions were beautifully varied. She delighted in thrift store shopping, always finding joy and treasure in the unexpected. Her three dogs, Jaxon, Peanut, and Chipper, were her beloved furbabies and constant companions, bringing endless warmth and comfort to her days. She cherished watching birds at her feeders, a quiet pleasure that connected her to the simple beauty of the world. Her Dodge Charger automobile was another source of pride and enjoyment, a symbol of her spirited nature. Faye also loved to shop, embracing the joys of life’s little indulgences with enthusiasm.
Her family was her greatest blessing. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Melanie Kent, and son-in-law Greg. Her brothers, Dennis Mason and his wife Betty, and Ricky Mason, along with her sister Sonya Mason, remain strong pillars in her life’s legacy. Faye’s grandsons, Vach Kent and his wife Samantha, Austin Kent and his wife Jessica, and Keaton Kent and his wife Ashley, along with her cherished grandbabies—Grannies Babies, Roper, Reagan, Walker, Ripley, and Landon—carry her spirit forward with love. Also by her side in life was her boyfriend Tony Lee and his daughter Robin Lee, whose affection brought her comfort and joy.
Faye is lovingly remembered but preceded in death by her brother Doug Mason, her sisters Carol Peardon and Dianne Mabrey, her father Everette Mason, her mother Claudine Barnette Mason, and her husband Jimmy Lively, whose memories she held close to her heart.
Visitation will be held on May 11 and May 12, 2026, at In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers Fairmount in Fairmount, Georgia. On May 12, her funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Ebenezer Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia, at 1:00 p.m. Family, friends, and all who knew her are invited to join in honoring Faye’s life and legacy.
Faye Mason Lively was a woman who embraced her world with tenderness, strength, and joy. Her love for her family and all the little wonders of life left an indelible mark. Though she has departed, her spirit remains alive in every smile, every memory, and every beating heart she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever treasured.
Care of Faye has been entrusted to In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers.
