Gary Mark Troutman, born November 11, 1960, passed away on August 22, 2026.

Gary was a man who found joy in the people and pursuits he loved most.

Born in Tennessee, Gary moved with his family several times during his early years before eventually settling in Georgia. He went on to earn both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, accomplishments that reflected his determination and strong sense of purpose. After working at the Advanced Technology Development Center at Georgia Tech, Gary founded his own company, WebTransit. That step not only reflected his entrepreneurial spirit, but also gave him the opportunity to work from home and spend more time with his children. In later years, he continued his professional life in business development for several large firms.

Beyond his work, Gary was a man who found joy in the people and pursuits he loved most. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends, creating meals that brought others together and made ordinary moments feel special. He also had a love for fishing, scuba diving, and riding his various motorcycles, passions that spoke to his adventurous spirit and his appreciation for life’s experiences.

Gary will be remembered most dearly by those who knew his love as a husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Martha Troutman, and by their children: daughters Lucia Griffith, Ina Troutman, and Caroline Baucom, and sons John Troutman and Matthew Troutman. The love of his family was an important part of his life, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those closest to him.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Troutman, and his mother, Veva Yoder Troutman.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29, in Gary’s honor. As family and friends remember him, they carry forward the warmth of his presence, the example of his hard work, and the lasting comfort of the love he gave so freely.
