Hoyt Bernard Jackson, 87, of Gaylesville, AL, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. He was born on September 12, 1938, the son of the late Bernard and Bessie Pearl Reed Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margie, his brothers, Hillborn Jackson, Loyd Jackson, Johnny Jackson, and Hubert Jackson, his sister, Sarah Purvis, and his grandson, Adam Greeson.

Survivors include his children, Roxanne Mullinax (Randy) of Silver Creek, GA, Kenneth Jackson (Stanley) of Leesburg, AL, Angela Lewis (Joel) of Gaylesville, AL, and Kisha Eller (Joshua) of Dallas, GA. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hoyt could grow anything and took great pride in his garden. He loved sharing his harvest with friends and family. A true jack-of-all-trades, he was gifted in the work of his hands and could fix anything that needed fixing. He loved his dogs, and any stray animal was blessed to find him. Most of all, he was a man of true grit and strength who will be remembered for his kind heart and generous spirit.

Honoring his wishes, his body was cremated, and his family and friends will celebrate his life privately.
