James Dale Huckeba, known as "Jim," was born on December 14, 1962, in Marietta, Georgia. He passed away on June 8, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and commitment to family and community.

Jim was a proud veteran who served his country in the Air Force, demonstrating a spirit of bravery and selflessness that guided him throughout his life. He built a successful career spanning over 20 years as the owner of the American Trapping Company and ATC Iron Works and previously worked at Wometco Cable Company and Porter Steel Company. It was at Cobb Industrial Inc. (CII) where he found his home. CII was a business that felt more like a family.

Jim was a devoted family man who cherished his precious wife of 36 years, Lorraine Huckeba, and took immense pride in his children: Kyle Huckeba (Alicia), Matthew Huckeba (Zoey), Nathan Huckeba (Bethany), and his one and only daughter, Danielle Simpson (Bradley). A doting grandfather, he adored his grandchildren: Nicole, Michelle, Everett, Malia, Sophia, J.C., Clyde, and Waymon. Jim had a wonderful way of sharing stories about his children, always eager to talk about their achievements and the joy they brought into his life.

Known among friends and peers as a "Man's Man," Jim enjoyed a vibrant array of hobbies and interests. He found great joy in fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles, while also embracing the quieter pleasures of home remedies, billiards, hiking, darts, and coaching little league ball. His adventurous spirit and passion for life left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

Jim was an active member of the Moose Lodge for many years, exemplifying his commitment to community and fellowship. Jim was awarded a plaque for his dedication as he worked tirelessly sponsoring events and raising money for MDA. He will be forever remembered for his warm heart, his infectious enthusiasm for life, and the deep love he held for his family.

Jim is preceded in death by his mother, Corrinne Huckeba; father, Jim Huckeba; and his grandparents, as well as numerous aunts and uncles.  In addition to his wife and children, Jim is survived by brother, Bob Hamill and his aunt Nancy Donegan and uncle Donnie Huckeba (Linda) and various cousins.

His presence will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
