Jeannie Chandler Perry, age 82, of Newark, New Jersey, departed from this world on December 20, 2025. A beacon of love and determination, Jeannie touched the lives of many during her remarkable journey.
Born on August 11, 1943, in Newark, New Jersey, Jeannie was a cherished daughter of George Chandler Sr. and his beloved wife, Beverly Chandler. Growing up, she exhibited an enduring spirit, embracing opportunities and challenges with grace and resilience. After completing her Associates Degree, she devoted herself first and foremost to being a devoted mother. Jeannie raised three wonderful children, Chandler, Kevin, and Stephanie, instilling in them the values of hard work and perseverance that she held so dear.
Throughout her career, Jeannie’s ambition shone brightly as she transitioned from years in the restaurant industry to pursuing her passion for real estate. With unwavering determination, she put herself through real estate appraisal school, ultimately achieving her proudest accomplishments in her professional life.
Jeannie was known for her lively personality, her passions evident in her love for pickleball, reading, cooking, home decorating, and painting. She found joy in taking care of her grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them and creating lasting memories that will forever live on in their hearts.
As we remember Jeannie, we also honor the memory of her beloved husband, Thomas Perry, who preceded her in death. Jeannie is also reunited in spirit with her father, George Chandler Sr., and her stepmother, Beverly Chandler, who shaped her early years.
She leaves behind a loving family that includes her children, Chandler, Kevin, and Stephanie, alongside her brothers Gary, David, and Rick, and her stepbrothers Jeff and Keith. They carry forward her legacy of love, determination, and vivacity, ensuring that her spirit remains alive in their lives.
Plans for her service are being arranged at the Georgia National Cemetery and will be followed by a Celebration of Life, where family and friends will gather to honor Jeannie’s remarkable life and the love she shared.
Jeannie Chandler Perry’s essence was woven into the fabric of every life she touched, and her memory will forever be a beacon of love and inspiration for her family and friends. As we reflect upon her life and the joy she brought to those around her, we are reminded that her spirit will live on in our hearts.
