Joan Olmedo Ingram, a cherished daughter, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and beloved friend, departed this world on December 14, 2025, in Murrayville, Georgia. Born on October 28, 1941, Joan's spirit was one of generosity and warmth, illuminating the lives of everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

As a devoted military wife and a homemaker, Joan dedicated her life to nurturing her family, always putting them first with unwavering love and devotion. She found pure joy in cooking, creating meals that not only nourished but also brought her family and friends together around the dinner table. Her passion extended into the world of arts and crafts, where she fostered creativity among her children and grandchildren, crafting memories that will linger long after her hands have set to rest.

Throughout her fulfilling life, Joan did so much, but was always quiet about her accomplishments. She was instrumental in building and starting a Baptist Church that grew into a successful school.  It continues to thrive in Puerto Rico today even after 65 years.  Joan's creativity blossomed in her published children’s book, a treasure that reflects her love for storytelling and her desire to inspire young minds. Additionally, she contributed to her local school as a teacher’s aide, shaping the lives of many students with her gentle guidance and caring heart.

Joan was not only a beacon for her family but also a pillar of strength for friends and acquaintances alike. Her generosity, often to a fault, spoke volumes of her character; she loved and cared deeply for those around her, always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand.

Joan is now reunited with her beloved husband of 66 years, William Roy Ingram, who preceded her in death, along with her parents, Harry and Lucy Olmedo, and her sister, Lenore Hyde. Their memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of her surviving family, comprising of her sister Myrna Winter, Her Children & Spouses - Bill & Jennifer Ingram, Vebbra & Eric Willey and Jeff & Kristy Ingram, Grandchildren - Michael J. & Abby Ingram, Dylan R. Trudeau Ingram & Hallie S. Ingram and her Great Grand Children - Bella "Bear" Ingram, Riley and Parker Ingram. As we gather to honor Joan's life, we will reflect on the indelible mark she has left on each of us. The visitation will be held on December 21, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3 PM at In Their Honor Funeral & Cremation Providers, located at 2764 US-411, Fairmount, Georgia. Her earthly journey will be completed with a burial service on December 24, 2025, at 1:30 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

Joan's legacy of love will continue to thrive through her family, who will carry forward the lessons she imparted, the love she bestowed, and the laughter that filled their lives with joy. May she rest in peace, forever remembered and dearly missed.
