A Life Worth Remembering. A Veteran Worth Honoring.
John Tabor, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away at the age of 94.
Born on June 12, 1932, John lived through more than nine decades of American history. At the age of 21, he answered the call to serve his country, entering the United States Army on July 13, 1953, during the Korean War era. He faithfully served until his honorable discharge on June 2, 1955.
While many details of John’s personal journey remain unknown, his life was no less meaningful, and his service to our nation was no less deserving of recognition.
Every life tells a story. Every person leaves a mark upon this world. Though we may not know the dreams John pursued, the friendships he cherished, or the roads he traveled, we know that he was a man who once stepped forward to serve something greater than himself.
And for that, we owe him our gratitude.
John will be laid to rest with military honors at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia, where he will join the ranks of fellow veterans who answered their nation’s call.
In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers is deeply privileged to care for John and ensure that his final farewell reflects the dignity, gratitude, and respect that every veteran deserves.
Though John comes to his final resting place as an unclaimed veteran, he will not be laid to rest forgotten.
His name will be spoken. His service will be acknowledged. His life will be honored.
May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the gratitude of a nation he once served.
