Kenneth Lamar Jenkins, age 73, of Fairmount, Georgia, passed away on September 16, 2026.

Born in Dalton, Georgia, Kenneth was a man of many talents and interests, but above all else, he was a family man. He had a gift for working with his hands and could seemingly master just about anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and had a wonderfully artistic side that could be seen through his basket weaving, painting, wood carving, and drawing.

Kenneth found joy in creating things, working the land, spending time outdoors, and simply being surrounded by the people he loved. The things he made with his hands will remain treasured reminders of him, but his greatest legacy will always be the family he loved and the memories they created together.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Lency Silvers and Gordon Lee Jenkins; granddaughter, Kayleigh Jenkins; great-grandson, Tony Jenkins; sister, Betty Jenkins; and brothers, Terry Jenkins and Jerry Jenkins.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Jenkins; sons, Christopher (Gina) Jenkins, Terry (Patricia) Jenkins, and Justin Jenkins; daughter, Kaysha (Blake) Sullivan; brothers, Timmy Jenkins and John-Mart Jenkins; and sister, Sheila Robertson.

Kenneth also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Baily Lowrance, Blair Parker, Maddie Sullivan, Jackie Sullivan, Bentley Sullivan, Brinley Sullivan, Aidan Jenkins, Riley Jenkins, Aria Jenkins, Ethan Jenkins, Destiny Jenkins, Evan Millwood, Alliyah Nix, Karen Jenkins, Victoria Jenkins, Audrey Rutherford, and Lency Jenkins.

His memory will also live on through his great-grandchildren, Brandon Jenkins, Paige Jenkins, Hayley Jenkins, Lillian White, Violet Rutherford, Angelina Rutherford, and Saphira Rutherford.

With such a large and loving family, Kenneth’s life will continue to be remembered in countless stories, familiar traditions, handmade treasures, and moments that bring a smile when his name is spoken. A man who spent his life creating beautiful things leaves behind something even more beautiful—a family filled with memories of him.

A memorial service honoring Kenneth’s life will be scheduled at a later date.

Kenneth will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held close in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Care of Kenneth has been entrusted to In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers.
