Larry Blaine Seabolt, a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 25, 2025, at Parkside Nursing Home in Ellijay, Georgia. He was born on November 22, 1947, in McCaysville, Georgia. Larry's vibrant spirit and fun-loving nature left an indelible mark on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

In his professional journey, Larry served the community as the Former Police Chief of East Ellijay, Georgia. His dedication to service was also evident in his work at the Tennessee Chemical Plant in Copperhill, Tennessee. Most recently, he cherished the opportunity to work alongside his very best friend, the late Brother Billy Lock, at Locks Towing in East Ellijay, Georgia. This partnership was a testament to Larry's loyalty and sense of camaraderie, traits that he carried throughout his life.

Larry's educational background included a high school education, yet his knowledge of life and its intricacies was profound. He possessed a talent for welding, often lending a helping hand through side jobs to assist those in need. This generosity reflected his caring heart and deep-seated belief in community.

Outside of work, Larry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He relished moments spent telling stories about his maternal grandfather, Grady Frasure, a man who undoubtedly inspired his love for family anecdotes. Larry also had a passionate affection for the Atlanta Braves baseball team, a love passed down from his mother, Ruth Frasure Seabolt, who adored the team as well.

His faith played a significant role in his life as a devoted member of the Harvest Missionary Church in Ellijay. Larry's fondness for life and his commitment to his beliefs were felt by many who were blessed to share in his presence.

Larry leaves a legacy of love and fond memories through his surviving family members. He is survived by his sons, Chris Seabolt of Blue Ridge, Georgia, and Brandon Seabolt Harper of East Ellijay, Georgia; his daughter, Stephanie Seabolt Stiles and her husband Wayne of Blue Ridge, Georgia; and his cherished grandchildren, Logan, Faith, Hope, Willow, and Aspen, all of Blue Ridge, Georgia. He is also survived by his sister, Connie Seabolt Hendrix and her husband Billy of Griffin, Georgia, along with an abundance of nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Larry is preceded in death by his father, Hershall Seabolt of Griffin, Georgia; his mother, Ruth Frasure Seabolt of Griffin, Georgia; and his brother, Jerry Seabolt of Fayetteville, Georgia. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Parkside Nursing Home and Willow Brook Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Larry during his final days.

While a memorial service is planned for a later date, those who knew Larry can treasure the countless moments shared with him—a man whose laughter, stories, and kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved him.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of In Their Honor Funeral & Cremation Providers in Fairmount, Georgia.
