It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Leroy "Skeet" Stovall Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Born on June 3, 1966, in Atlanta, Georgia, Leroy peacefully left us at his home in Cartersville, Georgia, on May 21, 2026, just shy of his 60th birthday. His departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.

Leroy was a man whose kindness touched everyone he met. Known affectionately as "Skeet," he was a devoted family man and a man of many passions. He loved to cook, often delighting family and friends with his culinary creations, and he found solace and joy in fishing and golf, activities that reflected his patient and gentle spirit. A graduate of Washington High School, Leroy carried the values and friendships from his youth throughout his life.

He was united in marriage to his wife, Darlita Parks, who stood by his side through life's journey. Together, they shared a beautiful family that included their two sons, Rahjeo Neal and Donreq Parks, who were the proud continuations of Leroy's legacy. His love and warmth extended to his cherished grandchildren—Kimayah, RJ, Destyni, Billy Knox, and Amara Parks—who brought immeasurable joy and pride to his life.

Family was Leroy’s cornerstone. He was the devoted brother to Christopher Stovall (and Brenda), Corey Stovall, Ryan Stovall, Derrick Stovall, Brandon Stovall, Kijacki Jones (and Hal), and Angel Stovall. The fabric of his family is woven with strong bonds, love, and shared memories that will forever hold the essence of Leroy's spirit.

Though his mother, Jaquline Cater, and father, Leroy Stovall Sr., have preceded him in death, their memory lives on in the stories and the heart of their son. It is their legacy that helped shape the incredible man Leroy became, and it is a legacy that his family now honors as they carry his memory forward.

Leroy's life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and love. He embodied the quiet strength of a man who made a lasting impact without fanfare but through genuine connection and care. His absence leaves an unfillable space, yet his spirit endures in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

The family will forever cherish the moments shared with Leroy, and as they move forward, they will be comforted by the peace that came to him in his final moments at home—a place filled with the love and warmth he so generously gave.

To honor his memory, family and friends are invited to reflect on the life of a remarkable man whose kindness and devotion stood as a guiding light. Leroy "Skeet" Stovall Jr. may have gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Leroy. Your love and spirit will forever live on.
