Lilith Marie Harward, a beloved educator, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, in Canton, Georgia, at the age of 84. She was born on July 14, 1941, in Washington, DC and dedicated her life to nurturing the minds and hearts of children. Known by "Marie" she held a Master’s Degree in Education, illuminating countless lives with her passion for teaching.
Throughout her career, Marie spent countless hours tutoring children, taking immense pride in her role as an educator. She found great joy in substitute teaching, relishing the opportunity to meet different students each day. Her gentle spirit and warm presence lit up every room she entered, making everyone around her feel loved and important. This extraordinary ability to connect with others is a testament to her compassionate personality and the deep love she held for her life's work.
Marie’s unwavering dedication to her students was matched only by her devotion to her family. She is survived by her cherished husband, George R Harward, son George Thomas Harward and grand daughter Tami Reno. They knew her heart, supported her remarkable journey, and loved her tremendously. Marie and her husband shared a life filled with love, laughter, family, and the joys of their mutual commitment to education.
As we remember Marie, we celebrate her legacy as a beacon of light and kindness. Her influence will forever resonate in the lives she touched, and the memories of her warmth will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. Marie Harward will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
