Marty Kevin Lewis, 62, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Born in Miami, Florida, Marty was the beloved son of Kenneth and Mary Lewis and the cherished stepson of Barbara Lewis. He grew up in Parker City, Indiana, and spent his life building meaningful relationships and creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Marty was a devoted husband to Donna Beth Lewis for 32 wonderful years. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, adventure, and unwavering partnership. He was a proud father to Sean, Shelby, and Natascha Lewis, and he was especially grateful to have met his grandson, Emil, before his passing.

Marty proudly served in the United States Army for eight years. After his military service, he pursued a variety of careers, including bartending—a role for which he was naturally suited and one that ultimately led him to meet the love of his life, Donna, in Milwaukee. Following their move to Tampa, Florida, Marty began a distinguished 26-year career in commercial construction, where he truly excelled. Known for his strong work ethic, extensive skills, dedication, and straightforward leadership, he earned the respect of colleagues throughout the industry. He often described himself as a “jack of all trades, master of none,” though those who knew him understood he had mastered far more than he ever gave himself credit for.

Outside of work, Marty embraced life to the fullest. He loved traveling, especially taking cruises, riding his Harley, skiing, snowmobiling with his brother Mike, and cooking. An exceptional cook, he found joy in preparing meals for family and friends. He was a passionate Green Bay Packers fan, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer them on. He was also an avid golfer and treasured the time spent on the course—and at the 19th hole—with his best friend, Erik. Those moments brought him some of his greatest happiness.

Marty had a larger-than-life personality and was, as some might say, an acquired taste. But those fortunate enough to know him well appreciated his unique spirit, quick wit, and unforgettable sense of humor. They will remember him for his generosity, honesty, kindness, loyalty, and the genuinely good heart that lay beneath his tough exterior.

Marty is survived by his loving wife, Donna Beth Lewis; his children, Sean, Shelby, and Natascha Lewis; his grandson, Emil; his siblings, Debbie Marshall, Jon Lewis, and Mike Lewis; his nephew, Tyson Marshall; and many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lewis; his father, Kenneth “Kenny” Lewis; his stepmother, Barbara Lewis; and his brother, Rick Lewis.

In accordance with Marty's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. A celebration of his life will be held in Tampa, Florida, the Fall of 2026 following his interment at Bay Pines National Cemetery.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, Marty's love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His family finds comfort in the countless memories they shared and in the lasting impact he made on the lives of those around him.

Care of Mr. Lewis has been entrusted to In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers.
