Mary Page, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, gracefully departed this world on February 13, 2026, peacefully at home, surrounded by the memories and love she cultivated throughout her remarkable life. Born on January 4, 1959, in Griffin, Indiana, Mary’s journey began in a way that only she could have understood—born in the back of a hearse while en route to her hometown of Griffith. From such humble beginnings, she blossomed into a vibrant soul, known for her cherished traditions and the warmth she brought to those lucky enough to know her.

A proud graduate of Momence High School in Illinois, Mary pursued her passion for education and earned her teaching license in Georgia. She dedicated parts of her life to nurturing young minds while working at Baker and Taylor in Momence, Illinois, and later at Dollar General in Cartersville, Georgia. Her career reflected her commitment to service, a testament to her supportive nature and desire to uplift those around her.

Crafting was a pivotal part of Mary’s life; she poured her heart into making quilts that wrapped her loved ones in comfort and warmth. Her artistic talents also reached beyond textiles as she often found joy in working on cars, transcending traditional gender roles and inspiring others to embrace hands-on creativity. Whether through a lovingly sewn quilt or a polished car, Mary communicated her love and care through every craft, forever leaving an imprint on the hearts of those fortunate enough to receive her creations.

Mary’s spirit will be carried forth by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Lowell and Debbi Page, as well as her cherished stepdaughters, Tamzen Gregory and Amanda Moore. She was a proud sister to Jane Boyce, Maggie Armstrong, Pam Garwood, and Barbara Powers. Mary also found great joy in her role as a grandmother, nurturing the potential of her nine grandchildren, who will remember her with fondness and admiration.

She is now reunited in peace with her husband, Lowell Page, who left this world before her, as well as her beloved parents, Donald and Nancy Rogers, and Betty Rogers. Her passing also reunites her with her brothers, Bob and Richard Garwood, who forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

As we celebrate Mary’s rich tapestry of love, creativity, and resilience, details for a celebration of her life will be determined at a later time, allowing all whose lives she touched to gather and honor her memory. In the hearts of her family and friends, Mary remains a vibrant spirit whose legacy will continue to inspire creativity and joy, just as she touched countless lives with her kindness and passion.

Care of Mary has been entrusted to In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers.
