IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Lloyd
Roberts
January 17, 1974 – January 30, 2026
Michael “Mike” Lloyd Roberts, a cherished figure in the hearts of many, transitioned from this world on January 30, 2026, at the age of 52 in Calhoun, Georgia. Born on January 17, 1974, in the sun-kissed realms of San Luis Obispo, California, Mike's journey through life was rich with experiences that resonated with love, dedication, and an unwavering spirit.
Raised in the warm embrace of a close-knit family, Mike's formative years were marked by a robust connection to his parents and siblings, setting the foundation for his profound appreciation of family. He pursued his passion for horticulture, earning an Associate of Applied Science degree from Lane Community College, which reflected the values of hard work and a deep respect for nature. Throughout his life, he embraced a multitude of professions, from construction and electrical work to carpentry, painting, cement pouring, and farm labor, showcasing a versatility that was as admirable as it was rare.
Residing in various states, including Oregon, Tennessee, Nevada, and finally Missouri, Mike's nomadic life bore the essence of adventure and exploration. His career as a CDL truck driver would become a defining chapter in his life; spending countless days on the open road, he found companionship in his beloved dog, Sasha, who accompanied him through miles of picturesque landscapes, forging bonds within a vibrant community of fellow truckers.
At the heart of Mike’s existence lay his children, whom he adored deeply. Survivors include his daughters, Emma Opal, Moheya, Summer Roberts, Adelynn Johnson & Joey Johnson, and his son, Bradley. He was not only a father but a dedicated grandfather to Jacob Lee, Jerimiah, Jillian Star, Junior, William, Robert, Chelsea, Chastity, Jacob, Kimberly and their spouses. Finding immense joy in imparting his wisdom and love for the land to the younger generations. His proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his family and his ability to love big, embracing every moment with laughter and warmth.
In the tranquil moments of later years, Mike sought solace in building car parts and indulging in his passions for fishing, camping, and gold panning. He delighted in the treasures that yard sales offered, always on the hunt for unique finds to share with family and friends.
While he leaves behind a tapestry woven with joy and memories, Mike was also preceded in death by his cherished father, James Donald Roberts Jr; his niece, Ashlyn Williamson; his nephew, Christopher Williamson; and his sister, Monica Gul. Their spirits linger in the hearts of those who remain, serving as a reminder of the bonds that tether us across the realms of life and death.
As we gather to celebrate a life so richly lived, a service will be announced closer to the summer of 2026, a season that Mike so loved. Following the service, a barbecue will take place at Pleasant Hill Lake, where stories will flow like laughter, honoring his memory in the community that he cherished.
Michael Lloyd Roberts, a true son of California and a beloved friend and family member, will be deeply missed yet forever remembered for his generous spirit, adventurous heart, and the indelible mark he left on the lives of all who knew him.
