Osmo Harrison Petty, affectionately known as "Mo," passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, in Crandell, Georgia, at the age of 68. Born on November 5, 1956, in Bedford, Indiana, Mo was a dedicated servant with at Mohawk for over 20 years. His commitment to his craft and the contributions he made to the community around him were well recognized by those who worked alongside him.

Mo took great pride in his service in the Army, where he excelled as a helicopter mechanic. He often reminisced about that time in his life, a period that shaped him into the diligent and passionate individual he later became.

Family was Mo's greatest joy. He loved his children deeply, and his affection knew no bounds when it came to his role as a grandpa. He is survived by his daughter, Billie Sanders (David); son, Brian Petty; daughter, Eva Petty; and son, Osmo Harrison Petty II. His legacy lives on through his beloved grandchildren: Elijah, Ethan, Elizabeth, Abigail, Brett, Aubrey, McKenzie, Moriah, Madison, and Oliver, along with his cherished great-grandchildren, Jaxton, Paisley, Kaiser, Adeley, Harrison, Harlynn, Gage, and Emory.

In his leisure time, Mo enjoyed building things, taking pride in his love for working on cars and the thrill of driving fast vehicles. He had a fondness for western movies, often finding solace and entertainment in their timeless tales.

Mo is preceded in death by his parents, Osmo Petty and Violet Petty; his brothers, Rosco Petty and Bobby Sherfic; and his sisters, Berta, Donna, Brenda, Diane, and Tammy. Their memories will remain close to the hearts of all who loved him.

Osmo Harrison Petty will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His impact on their lives and the memories they created together will be cherished forever.
