Patricia Lee Nichelson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully at her home on March 20, 2026. Born on March 7, 1942, in Davenport, Oklahoma, Patricia lived a life filled with love, devotion, and a deep commitment to her family and faith.
Patricia’s journey through life was marked by a spirit of creativity and warmth. She found joy in crafting and crocheting, often sharing the intricate pieces she made with those she loved. Her passion for genealogy spoke to her deep appreciation for family roots and heritage; she delighted in uncovering stories from the past and keeping memories alive for future generations. A devoted member of the Catholic faith, she was a guiding light throughout her life, providing comfort and community.
Throughout her working years, Patricia touched many lives with her dedication and kindness. She held various roles including factory worker, school cafeteria staff, and employment at Walmart. But perhaps most importantly, she was a devoted homemaker, creating a nurturing and loving environment for her family.
Patricia is lovingly remembered by her brother, Fred Savage, who stood by her side and shared in countless memories over the years. She is also survived by her son, Nick Nichelson, and his wife Lynn, and her daughter, Tari Albright. Her legacy continues vibrantly through her grandchildren: Kimberly Davis and her husband Chris,Tyler Johnson, Alyssa Johnson, Peyton Hazel Albright, Randy McKissick and his wife Danyell, and Amber McMillan. Patricia’s heart was further blessed by her great-grandchildren: Julianne Davis, LeeAnn McKissick, Lindsey McKissick, Tucker Davis, and Everett Johnson, all of whom brought immense joy to her later years. She leaves fond memories with her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family. She always enjoyed making people laugh and she was loved by all who knew her.
Patricia was preceded in death by her loving parents, William and Hazel Savage, and her siblings Bill Savage and Marjorie Rogers. She also mourned the loss of her beloved husband, Ernest Lavel Nichelson, Jr., and her daughter, Tammie McKissick, whose memories she treasured deeply.
Her life was a testament to the power of family ties, faith, and the simple joys found in daily moments spent with loved ones. The imprint Patricia left on the hearts of her family and friends is indelible, a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and grace.
A Memorial Service to honor Patricia’s memory will be planned at a future date, allowing all who knew her to gather and celebrate a life well lived. Until then, her spirit remains a comforting presence in the homes and hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Patricia Lee Nichelson’s gentle soul has taken its final rest, but her legacy of love, creativity, and devotion endures, inspiring all who follow to cherish every moment and the bonds that make life meaningful. May she rest in eternal peace.
Care of Patricia has been entrusted to In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers.
