Peggy Ann Williams passed away peacefully the evening of Tuesday, January 27 at 72 years old after a long battle with Vascular Dementia.

She was preceded in death by her father Ray Lawson and mother Ruth Lawson. She is survived by her daughter Nikki Cullens, son-in-law Bo Cullens, granddaughters; Adrianne and Bella Cullens and grandkitties; Foxey and Gilligan. Honorable mention goes to her ex-husband and good friend in the end, Ken Williams.Peggy was a Southern Bell (Ma Bell, for those who know) lifer, committing 42 years to her career as one of the first female Electronic Technicians. Peggy was a tiny, strong and beautiful woman. She loved cats; especially kittens, music, wine, SCUBA diving and the beach, going fast in American muscle cars, tomatoes, and a select circle of family and friends ferociously. A true Atlanta girl: her first word was, “Rich’s”, she loved Coca-Cola, never Pepsi, and knew the answer to “What’ll ya have?” She was spunky to the end, even when her body failed her. Peggy was independent and stubborn, sarcastic and funny; especially when she didn’t mean to be.

Per her request, her ashes will be integrated onto a coral reef in the Florida Keys where her memory will remain immortal. There will be a Memorial Service at a future time to celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, do something nice for yourself; a bottle of wine, a pedicure, a concert ticket, adopt a kitten and name her Peggy, a trip to the beach…something you know she would have loved, in her memory.
