It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Philip Glennon, who departed this life on June 17, 2025, in Canton, Georgia, at the age of 75. Born on April 3, 1950, in Woburn, Massachusetts, Philip lived a life marked by dedication, service, and a deep love for family and community.

Philip was a distinguished metallurgist, known for his significant contributions during his career. He worked at Pratt & Whitney and was a research, design, and developer for a large health insurance company. His professional endeavors showcased his commitment to excellence and innovation, earning him the respect of his peers.

A proud veteran, Philip served honorably in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service as a Reciprocating Engine Mechanic with the 56th Field Maintenance Squadron. His military service underscored his dedication to his country and exemplified his work ethic.

Philip was not only a professional but also a vibrant member of his community. He participated in several clubs, including the Veteran's Club, Photography Club, Railroaders Club, Beer Club, Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT), and the Four Seasons Culinary Club, where he made many lasting friendships and cherished memories. He was also an avid poker player who enjoyed sharing this passion with his community.

Most importantly, Philip treasured the outdoors, engaging in camping, hiking, and fishing with his grandson, Ethan, and relished spending quality time with his granddaughter, Aryana.

Philip is survived by his loving wife, friend, and partner of over twenty years, Resa Glennon. He was a devoted stepfather to Ryan and Matthue, whose wives, Maria and Samantha, were like daughters to him. As "Popa," he delighted in his role as a grandfather to Ethan and Aryana. He is also survived by his brother, Bob Glennon; his sisters, Karen Martel and Joanne Woodworth; and many nieces, nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his beloved puppy, Lexi.

Philip was predeceased by his mother, Marie Glennon; two brothers, John and Richard Glennon; one sister, Janice Glennon; and one niece, Diana Mowatt.
