Richard "Rick" Guy Cotten, Jr., a resident of Marietta, passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 79. Born in the spring during the late 1940s,Rick lived a life marked by devotion to his country and deep love for his family.

Rick served in the U.S. Army, a chapter of his life that reflected his sense of duty and commitment. He will be remembered with respect for that service and for the steady presence he held in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Above all, Richard’s life was centered on family. He is survived by his wife, Pamela, and their two sons, Brian and Matthew Cotten. He also leaves behind one grandson, Nolan, 3 sisters and 1 brother.The love shared among Rick his family, stands as a lasting part of his memory and the life he built with those closest to him.
