Riggs Jamisen Grooms
June 16, 2022 - June 19, 2026
"There is no foot so small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world."
With profound love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Riggs, age 4, on June 19, 2026. Though his time with us was far too short, his laughter, his smile, his curiosity, and his bright spirit brought immeasurable joy to all who knew and loved him.
Riggs was born on June 16, 2022 in Canton, Georgia to his loving parents, Sara and Brad Grooms. He was a happy, adventurous little boy who loved monster trucks, squishies, Lightning McQueen, Legos, Sonic, Wubbanubs, Santa and most of all his Mama, Dada, and Kaisen.
His smile would light up every room, and his hugs made everyone feel special. He brought wonder and joy to everyday moments and taught those around him to find joy in the littlest of things.
Riggs is deeply loved and will be forever cherished by:
- His parents, Sara and Brad Grooms
- His brother, Kaisen Grooms
- Grandparents, Ron and Diane Dinsmore & Mike and Sonya Grooms
- Aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends who loved him beyond measure.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his great-grandparents, Roy and Juanita Dinsmore & Ed and Jane Cooper, his great-great-grandpa Donnie Grooms and his great-grandpa Robert Carter.
Some of Riggs' favorite things included:
- Favorite colors: black and pink
- Favorite toy: monster trucks, Lightning McQueen, Legos, Sonic, and squishies
- Favorite movie/tv shows: Tom and Jerry, Booba, Toy Story, Lightning McQueen, and Minions
- Favorite song: Monster Jam songs and the Chicken-Banana song
- Favorite food or snack: Reese's, Spaghetti O's, Sour Patch kids, and "Push Pops"
- Favorite phrase: "Skibbidi Toto tee" & "I miss you too", "Mama time to get up, we gotta go downstairs and eat my hot dogs and waffles"
A celebration of Riggs' beautiful life will be held:
Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
Time: Visitation 1:00-2:00 (Family Only), 2:00-4:00 (Guest Visitation), Service at 4:00pm
Location: New Life Church - 154 Lakeside Drive, Canton, GA 30115
Family and friends are invited to wear bright colors / superhero shirts / Minions / Monster Trucks / Tom and Jerry / Toy Story attire in honor of Rigg's joyful spirit.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations of toys (of any kind) that we can give back to organizations who have been with them throughout their entire journey with Riggs. Riggs was always showered with toys at every appointment, visit, blood draw, hospital stay, and scan. They'd love to pass that gift forward to other families in Riggs' memory.
Though his four years were far too few, he filled them with the heart of a superhero, the imagination of a master builder, and the spirit of a champion racer going at Sonic speed. We find comfort knowing he is now free from pain, building, playing, and smiling forever. For over two years, he showed a courage that inspired everyone around him. Though cancer was part of his story, it was never who he was. He will always be remembered for his bright smile, his love of monster trucks and superheroes, and the joy he brought to every life he touched.
Care of Riggs has been entrusted to In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers.
