Ronald Paul Lummus, affectionately known as Ronny, born on July 5, 1964, in Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2026. Ronny was a kind and gentle man whose life was filled with love for his family and friends, a passion for his craft and enjoying every adventure he and Sally came across.

Growing up in a loving household with Donny constantly by his side, Ronny lived in Rome and various areas around Canton, as his father served as a preacher. With 4 siblings life was never dull. In his youth, he discovered a love for music, playing the trumpet in the Cherokee Warriors band during high school. Ronny never passed a drum set without tapping out a beat or two. His love for music continued throughout his life including concerts and festivals with Sally and particularly when his two grandchildren, Cash and Blakely, played on his Granny’s piano in their home.

As a dedicated carpenter, Ronny skillfully contributed to residential and commercial building and remodeling, taking pride in every project he undertook—from framing houses to interior trim. Some of his proudest accomplishments included building special mementos for his girls, such as a grand two-story Playhouse, a Barbie box for Ashley, a hope chest for Veronica, and memorable Mother's Day shelves for his girl, Sally. These creations are a testament to his thoughtfulness and the love he poured into each gesture. And can’t forget those wonderful 3 1/2 years in PCB doing interior trim and living on the beach.

Ronny treasured the time he spent with his family and friends, particularly throwing darts and BDays at #103 on Lake Allatoona, where laughter and joy filled the campsite and boat rides in his Checkmate. Sugar Mountain was a yearly tradition, where both Ashley and Veronica learned how to ski. His love for travel allowed him to create countless fond memories with Sally in their 38 years together, exploring both near and far destinations, yet their most cherished journeys were those that brought them closer to their grandbabies.

Ronny is survived by his loving wife, Sally Lummus; his twin brother Donald Harold Lummus, Capt. John David Lummus (Mandy); his sisters, Connie Mae Gaddis (Chip) and Carol Ann Gibbs (Shannon); and his devoted father, Donald Paul Lummus. His legacy will live on through his daughters, Ashley Elizabeth Bowlin (Jason) and Veronica Paige Lummus, and his beloved grandchildren, Cash Lee Bowlin and Blakely Elizabeth Bowlin.

He was predeceased by his mother, Linda Eugenia Thacker Lummus; his grandmother, Helen Thacker; and his grandfather, Harold Thacker. The echo of Ronny's laughter and the warmth of his heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him, as he leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will forever be cherished.

Care of Ronny has been entrusted to In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation.
