In Loving Memory of Terri Dixon
July 18, 1962 – June 24, 2025
Terri Dixon, of Cumming, Georgia (formerly of Roswell), passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, following a brief but courageous battle with liver cancer. She was 62.
Terri spent her final days at home in the sunroom she loved, looking out at the trees, with her favorite 70s music playing and her beloved cats and dog nearby. Her last days were peaceful and filled with love, made possible by the compassionate care of the nurses, caseworkers, chaplain, and staff from Agape Hospice.
Born on July 18, 1962, Terri was a proud 1980 graduate of Milton High School, where she was active in chorus and cheerleading. Her warm spirit, quick wit, and kind heart drew people to her wherever she went.
Terri’s career spanned media and education—working with WSB-TV, WAGA, WATL, and WABC in New York, and later in schools including Mimosa Elementary and Elkins Pointe. She made lifelong connections through her many passions, including volunteering her time at a local horse stable and wholeheartedly supporting her daughter Marina throughout her years playing and coaching volleyball. She also cherished the close friendships and her extended circle of friends and family.
Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Virlyn and Jackie Dixon of Roswell. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Marina Dixon; her twin sister, Toni Helms; her brother, Mike Dixon; half-siblings Stan Dixon and Kathy Dale; nephews Ty and Chase Helms; and a host of loving cousins and friends who will carry her memory forward.
In keeping with her wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date—one filled with joy, connection, and remembrance.
