Tyler Jacob
Moon
October 19, 1995 – April 23, 2026
New Friendship Baptist Church
Starts at 1:00 pm (Eastern time)
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Tyler Jacob Moon, born October 19, 1995, who left us on April 23, 2026. Tyler’s departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, but his spirit and legacy remain deeply cherished by his family and friends.
Tyler was a man whose love for life was evident to everyone around him. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of nature, most notably in fishing—a treasured activity he shared with his grandfather. Those quiet moments beside the water were a special bond, passed down with patience and care, and they beautifully illustrated his gentle and thoughtful character.
In addition to his love for the outdoors, Tyler was also a gifted artist, expressing his creativity in ways that reflected his unique perspective and appreciation for the world around him. Alongside his passion for fishing was his love for gardening and nurturing the outdoors, a devotion that reflected his nurturing soul and deep connection to the earth.
Tyler is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Cassidy; his children, Tessa and Wesley, whose lives he loved and cherished beyond measure; and his mother, Shannon, and brother, Jackson, who also grieve the loss of a man who was not just a son and brother, but a cherished presence in their lives.
He is also lovingly remembered by his grandmother, Suzanne Lazarski; his aunt, Valerie Park (Gino); his cousins, Rachel Love (John) and their daughter, Olivia, and Lauren Park; his uncle, Brad Lazarski (Susan); and his mother-in-law, Tina.
Tyler was preceded in death by his father, Steve Moon, and his grandfather, lovingly known as Pops, Thomas Lazarski, whose memories of fishing and life lessons he carried forward in his own children and family with grace and honor.
To celebrate Tyler’s life and honor his special passions, a memorial service will be held on May 9th, 2026, at 1:00 PM at New Friendship Baptist Church, located at 281 Friendship Road, Chickamauga, GA. The service will be followed by a time of food and fellowship, provided lovingly by the church community, offering all present a chance to share stories and memories of Tyler, drawing strength from one another’s company.
In keeping with Tyler's love of gardening, the family kindly requests that, instead of flowers, attendees bring vegetable plants. These living tributes will be distributed to family members after the service, symbolizing the enduring life and growth that Tyler so deeply embraced.
This is a moment to remember a man who, though taken too soon, filled the lives of those around him with love, warmth, and a sense of peace found in nature’s embrace. Tyler Jacob Moon's legacy will live on in the laughter of his children, the memories of his family, and the gardens he loved so dearly.
For those wishing to contact the church or seeking further details regarding the memorial service, Pastor D.J. Carlton is available at (913) 424-6181.
May Tyler rest in everlasting peace, forever surrounded by the love that so defined his beautiful life.
Care of Tyler has been entrusted to In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers.
