3:00 - 5:00 pm (Eastern time)
Velma Lee Callahan, born on April 24, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A simple and kind person, Velma’s gentle spirit touched the lives of many around her.
Velma found joy in the little things in life, most notably in fishing and spending time with her beloved cats. These cherished moments were a reflection of her warm personality—a reminder of the tranquility she brought to those fortunate enough to share time with her.
Velma has been reunited with her mom- Susie Callahan, dad- Ben Callahan, brothers- Edd Callahan and Charlie Callahan, as well as her sister, Shirley Christopher and former husband Freddie Ogles who have gone before her. This reunion is surely a comfort to her family, knowing that they are together once more.
Left to honor her memory are her loving daughter, Sabrina Bagley (Paul), and her cherished grandson, Randon Bagley. Velma is also survived by her sister, Mamie Callahan and Jerri Rittenhouse, her niece and nephew, Susie Pendley and Eddie Callahan, along with several other nieces and nephews and several friends. Their lives will forever carry the imprint of Velma's kindness and love.
A celebration of Velma's remarkable life will take place on March 14th at 3:00 p.m. at Battlefield Praise and Worship Center, located at 3602 Chattanooga Ave. Tunnel Hill, GA. The family would like for all to come to this heartfelt gathering, where stories and memories will be shared in memory of her profound impact on all who knew her. Velma Lee Callahan will remain forever in our hearts, her legacy of love and kindness enduring through the lives she touched.
The family would like to thank the nurses an Advent Health in Calhoun for providing the love and care in her last days.
