SUSAN LEANNE GOFF

With great sadness and broken hearts our family announces the passing of our sweet Susan, October 31, 2024. Susan LeAnne Goff, age 49, was born July 3,1975 in Tampa, Florida.

Loved by all who knew her, Susan started life with a month-long stay at the NICU at Tampa General Hospital. Though her Cerebral Palsy created many obstacles in her life as a disabled individual, she maintained a remarkably optimistic attitude. At the age of three she was the poster child for United Way of Tampa and appeared in both local television and NFL/Tampa Bay Buccaneers United Way commercials.

She enjoyed travel with her family and made happy memories exploring New England, Washington DC, Canada, Colorado, the Smoky Mountains, the Southeast and many

other places. She lived in the Tampa-area community of Brandon, Florida until 1999 then moved to the Atlanta area. While living in Dunwoody, she developed her great love of riding horses. Later, she moved with her family to the community of Big Canoe, GA. For over 14 years she rode and developed remarkable equestrian skills at Angels on Horseback therapeutic riding program in Jasper, GA.

During her lifetime Susan inspired grace and touched many lives with her great smile, perpetually positive attitude, and enviable perseverance.

Susan is survived by her parents, Ellen and Ron Goff, her sister and brother-in-law Kelly and Arthur Connor, brother and sister-in-law Steven and Maridale Goff, nieces and nephews Kaylee Smith (Quinn), Carter Sills, Lucas Goff, Davis Goff and great-nephew Ciaran Smith.

A memorial service will be held at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Angels on Horseback (https://angelsonhorseback.org).
