Why Adairsville Families Choose In Their Honor
In Their Honor Funeral and Cremation Providers is owned and operated by Don and Kimberly Ware, who built the company to give families in Bartow, Gordon, and the surrounding counties a personal, unhurried alternative to a large corporate provider. When you call, you are speaking with people who live in this community, not a call center.
We coordinate cremation, memorial services, burial, veteran honors, and pet cremation for families across our full service area, including Adairsville, Calhoun, Cartersville, Rome, Dalton, and the surrounding North Georgia communities, with a team available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Every arrangement we plan is built around the family in front of us, and our grief support resources stay available to families long after the service itself is over.
About Adairsville, Georgia
Adairsville is a Bartow County city named for Cherokee Chief John Adair, the son of a Scottish trader and a Cherokee mother, whose family settled the surrounding valley before the Cherokee removal of 1838. The town moved to its present site along the railroad in 1848 and was incorporated in 1854, and it holds a distinction unique among Georgia cities: it was the first town in the state listed in its entirety on the National Register of Historic Places, a status that protects the period homes and storefronts lining its downtown square today.
The Adairsville Rail Depot, still standing downtown, played a role in the Great Locomotive Chase of 1862 and again in the Civil War fighting that passed through the area in May 1864. Just southwest of town, the Barnsley Gardens estate, built in the 1840s for Godfrey Barnsley, draws visitors to its restored gardens and historic ruins. Adairsville sits roughly halfway between Atlanta and Chattanooga along Interstate 75, with U.S. Route 41 and Georgia Route 140 running through the middle of town.
Getting Here from Adairsville
Our office is about 14 miles northeast of Adairsville at 2764 US-411 S.E. in Fairmount, roughly a 20-minute drive.
